Welcome to Mid-Summer on the Shore…lots of great events on the calendar, especially the stretch of County Fairs, beginning this week with the Talbot County Fair in Easton. The fair starts Thursday (7/13) and runs through Saturday at the Talbot Ag Center on Hiner’s Lane just off route 50 north of town. There will be plenty of what you’d expect at a county fair–4H exibits, livestock, community vendors, fair foods, ice cream & more. A new highlight this year is the Professional Bull Riding that will take place Thursday & Friday Nights (please note this is an extra $15 admission ticket in addition to whatever the regular fair admission is for that night).
Next weekend (7/21) the Tuckahoe Tractor Pull comes to town (you can enter for free tickets on this site), and later this summer the fun continues with the Queen Anne’s and Caroline-Dorchester County Fairs, the Kent County Fair, the Delaware State Fair, Caroline Summerfest, and more. It’s one of my favorite times of year. I hope see everyone out & about at our local fairs and festivals…most certainly look for the Forever Mid-Shore crew broadcasting from many of these events.
