Be sure to join us broadcasting live at the 23rd Annual Chesapeake Spring Home Show, presented by the Star Democrat and sponsored by Long and Foster Real Estate Eastern Shore, will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Talbot County Community Center in Easton.

This event showcases the newest ideas in home remodeling and construction and offers everything you need to prepare your home for the spring and summer season. The theme this year is “Kitchens, Crafts and Collections.”

Jamie Merida and his team of designers from Bountiful Interiors will share design tips from his experience designing simple to unbelievable kitchen spaces. Merida will present at 11 a.m. Saturday with a focus on color, flooring, appliances and cooking work space triangle strategies. There will be time set aside to answer audience questions.

Foodies will be thrilled to experience a new concept to the show, Taste Maryland in April. Chesapeake Harvest will host an indoor farm-to-table farmers market on the show floor with more than 15 local farmers, producers and craft beverage makers selling their goods.

Come sip, sample and purchase delights indicative of the Eastern Shore and meet your local farmers. This is a perfect way for all food bon vivants to enjoy a taste of the Shore.

Traditional home show vendors and artisan crafters will be available together in the main expo area. There are more than 90 categories that offer a one-of-a-kind setting where you can receive information on your home project under one roof.

Bring the family and have the kids try out the 18-foot dry slide set up on the community center lawn Saturday and Sunday for the duration of show hours. Talbot Humane will offer cuddly animals and pet accessories during the event.

Grills on Wheels will grill pit beef and sliced turkey breast sandwiches with the fixings. Family-friendly food concessions will be available at the event.Arrive early for best selection of fragrant spring flowers.

Admission is $5 per family, $3 per person. Proceeds benefit the Star Democrat’s Brighter Christmas Fund, helping local families throughout Mid-Shore counties for more than 30 years. The first 15 people to attend the show each day will get their pick of doorbuster giveaways.
