Lois and Clark are together again. I was sad to read about the passing of actress Margot Kidder this week. Kidder was in quite a few movies in the 70’s and 80’s but one must agree that her role as Lois Lane aside Christopher Reeve in the Superman movies of that era is her most defining work.
Every generation has it’s own most-cherished version of these characters. For me, as a child of the 80’s, Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder (all due respect to Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, and the others that have taken on those roles in times before and after Reeve/Kidder) are the quintessential Superman and Lois. It is sad but also somehow fitting that both of these actors have passed on to be (in our imaginations, at least) again flying together somewhere high above.
